Over the years, HG Capital has received great benefit from the counsel of various individuals who have served on its Advisory Board. The diversity of their experience provides a balanced view toward current issues and future trends.
LYNN M. SEDWAY
Lynn Sedway joined the HG Capital Advisory Board in 1999. She is the
founder and President of the Sedway Group, a leading real estate and
urban economics consulting firm, and Executive Managing Consulting Director
of CB Richard Ellis. She is active on corporate and community boards,
including the Swig Company, Bridge Housing, Urban Land Institute (Trustee),
and the International Women's Forum. Ms. Sedway is a member of the Policy
Advisory Board of the Fisher Center for Real Estate, Haas School of
Business at University of California at Berkeley. She has also served
on the boards of AMB Properties, Inc. and Alexander & Baldwin. Ms. Sedway
received a B. A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an
MBA in Real Estate and Urban Economics from UC Berkeley.
JONATHAN H. SOFFER
Jonathan Soffer joined the HG Capital Advisory Board in 2003.
He is a principal of Regency Capital Partners, a real estate financing firm based in San Francisco, CA.
Previously, he was the Director of the Capital Markets Unit for Cohen Financial, a national real estate investment banking firm.
Earlier, Mr. Soffer worked in mortgage banking with E.S. Merriman & Sons, and he practiced real estate law in San Diego and San Francisco.
Mr. Soffer is a member of the California Bar Association and a licensed California real estate broker.
He holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a J.D. from the California Western School of Law, and an LL.M. (Master of Laws) from the University of San Diego School of Law.
WILLIAM J. HURWICK
William Hurwick is Senior Vice President, Partner, and a member of the Board of Directors of NAI/BT Commercial, a leading commercial brokerage.
Prior to joining BT, he was Executive Vice President of Cornish & Carey Commercial and manager of the firm's Palo Alto office for 17 years.
Mr. Hurwick has been involved in numerous transactions in the Stanford Research Park and throughout Silicon Valley.
He is also the principal shareholder of the WJH Group, a private real estate development and management company.
Previously, Mr. Hurwick worked with Coldwell Banker Company in their Palo Alto office, which he joined in 1969.
He holds a B. A. degree in American History from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois.
PAUL R. PEREZ
Mr. Perez is Director of Strategic Initiatives at HRJ Capital, a comprehensive alternative investment platform.
He serves as a Director of Springcreek Advisors, LLC, a wealth management firm, and as an advisor to RCM, an equity investment management subsidiary of Allianz Global Investors, and to Pemigewasset Partners, an equity hedge fund.
Previously, Mr. Perez was Managing Member of Lyon Ventures, LLC, Managing Director of U.S. Trust Company, head of portfolio management at Credit Suisse Private Banking, and portfolio manager at Bankers Trust Company.
He holds a BA in philosophy from Loyola Marymount University, an MA in philosophy from Boston College, and an MBA from Stanford University.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, he is a member of CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
